Many of you know that you can be a hard worker and remain in poverty.  You can struggle to make ends meet, while you work two jobs to pay for your rent, bills, and food.  You may or may not have children; but if you do, they will never see you.  This is bad for everyone because if your children can't have any of your guidance and attention it will always end badly in one way or another.  Families need one another to grow up together and rely on each other for basic emotional support.  If your parents are always gone because they are low-income earners, and they are trying to support all of the necessities of life for their family, the family misses each other.  If they are lucky enough to have a house and a mortgage that is affordable to them, but in many cases, they could be house-poor, or they live in an overpriced rental unit and can barely afford their hydro bill.  The parent(s) really want to feed their children the best food and vegetables, and make sure they have the recommended amount of fruit every day, but they can't afford it.  There is not enough money to feed everyone a well-balanced meal 3 times a day plus snacks.  Wouldn't it be great if you didn't have to worry about the family's basic income?  If you live on your own, wouldn't you like to know you have enough money to pay the rent and bills and still be able to eat?  These are fundamental survival issues that need to be addressed A.S.A.P.  I'm in support of the UBI - Universal Basic Income for All Canadians!
