Relationships

We are responsible for how we are seen by others.  If you love someone and want to be seen, you should not have to ask but simply see them as who they are; If they are worthy of your friendship, they will see you back and work with you to maintain the relationship you have together.  We are messy humans, there is no doubt about it in my mind.  Being an older woman, I have loved and lost more than I would wish to admit.  Trust being the main reason things have fallen apart.  I do not regret losing the friendships or loves of the past.  It's taken me a substantial number of years to see why it is okay to lose. I'm grateful for those who have stuck by my side, and bring me strength, joy, laughter, tears, and companionship. My children and grandchildren, you are always part of my heart and soul. Going through this life with you in it has brought me a great deal of understanding of how I could be better, but also how much I can love unconditionally.  My hope is that you all work hard and get what you want out of life but also hold realistic expectations and make acheivable goals so that you may get to where you want to go without too many obstacles or setbacks.

Trust

My mother always told me, "You trust too much! You will get hurt!"  She was right.  But I always had to do it my way and be true to my feelings.  This goes for intimate relationships, close friendships or even simply meeting someone new.  I would always go into it with a whole heart.  I believe in the power of Love.  There is no point in looking back to see what could have been different.  Today is a new day that brings innovative ideas, hopes, and ambitions.  I realize that my needs are different from when I was young.  My children are grown, and a couple of grandchildren are almost grown.  So, everyone is doing their life as best that they can.  I'm grateful that everyone is okay and doing what they want to do in life.  It's not easy for them and I can only do so much to help.  But I love them all.  Now is the time for me to find my niche, learn about what is meaningful to me in my own life and make steps towards any changes that I need to do, to get to where I want to go.  

Future

I think that there will be a big shift in the way people think and do as time goes forward.  Things are getting tougher and tougher for people and their ability to maintain what they have always done.  For the younger generation, just getting started in their life has barrier after barrier.  I would like to say that things will get better.  I believe that things will get better, but it may get worse before it gets better.  For those who have it rough, whether it be due to homelessness or food insecurity, every minute is a struggle.  I understand what this is all about.  How scary it is not knowing where the next meal comes from or where you will sleep safely for the night.  For many it is a holocaust scenario.  Even worse for those who have these struggles while raising children.  Sometimes you might just want it all to end. One day at a time is all I can say.  Sometime one minute at a time. 

Faith

Have faith in yourself that you can overcome your barriers and obstacles.  If you don't follow religion that's okay.  Even though it can be incredibly challenging to find people to trust now-a-days, there are those warriors out there that help people when they are down.  They are there because they want to be there to help.   Look at the trees, or the sky and see nature.  Be honest with yourself and don't feed into someone else's lies, no matter who they are.  Be real. Be honest. Cut through all the shit :) We are all in this together. Together we can overcome what is wrong with our issues with society, government, and environment.  It will not be easy but bit by bit we will get there.  See the truth; stop the lies.

Greed

It really stands out when someone chooses greed over the wellbeing of others. So smug, self-righteous. rude, careless, undeserving, pompous, foolish, evil, reckless, mean, dishonest, unfair, unconcerned, narrow minded, ruthless, crooked, narcissistic. The only voice they want to hear is their own.  They are willing to do dirty deeds at the cost of other people.  They will try to get what they want at any cost. They need to manipulate everyone involved to gaslight them and have them believe that the only person capable of achieving is them and that everyone else is powerless to do anything about it. If they can conquer the people's minds, they have effectively conquered the people.  This is an extremely dangerous person. Capable of anything at any cost.

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental health condition in which people have an unreasonably high sense of their own importance. They need and seek too much attention and want people to admire them. People with this disorder may lack the ability to understand or care about the feelings of others.  

Courage

It takes a lot of strength and courage to stand up to your bully.  The only power that they have over you is the belief that they are bigger, stronger, smarter, and more powerful than you are.  They have convinced you that this is true. If you can get past this brainwashing tactic then you can see through the lie.  You must be willing to admit that this is a lie and stand up and do the right thing. What is the right thing you ask? The right thing is to expose the lie for what it is, bring forward the truth. Stand by the truth.  Expose the liar and defeat the bully. Never believe the liar!  They are lying because it serves them well for whatever they are trying to get out of it.  They cannot bully you if you don't let them.

Hope

The hope is to be strong enough to do what it takes to make the tough decisions that will create the best outcome for all.  To see the bright future ahead and believe in ourselves that we can get to where we want to go. To be free from authoritarianism. To live our best life while we are on this earth.
